Racing Kings Shield Victor:
Take a wild guess at who won. Wait, I'm getting word that R2300 did NOT win the Shield! That's new. Instead, NilSeWon takes the crown, defeating QueenEatingDragon in a close battle of 359 points against 352 points.
This is kind of brutal.

Leaderboard and Ratings

Welcome to the second episode of "Who hit 2500 this Month?" Why it's none other than 2024 RKWC (still hasn't gotten the trophy) winner R2300! Last month, seth_777 barely beat R2300 in the milestone race. Who will hit it in September, if at all? The leaderboard is about as you'd expect, you can check it out yourself. One new name though is a player called tbh_ICareAboutYou, who's on the leaderboard as a near 2300 with only 90 games! Let's see how this plays out.

RKWC

Quick check up on the Racing Kings World Championship. Cybershredder was beaten!? Nope he's fine! Seth was beaten by Huguitooo_xD 55-45, however! How embarrassing. I'm getting Arjan vibes here... Huguito also managed to pull off a victory against RacingKingsQueen, meaning he's going to face basically the final boss of the RKWC, seed #3 QueenEatingDragon. Although if he beat seed #2 Seth, anything is possible. We are reaching near the end of the RKWC. You can follow it live here.

RKOC

Say hello to the new Racing Kings Competitions Committee, founded last month! Their schedule is quite busy, but what's currently happening in their Open Championships event? Round 1 struggled with a total of 4 forfeits, and an unplayed match due to internet issues. After round 1 though, all the unactive players should have been filtered out of the winner's bracket, giving us an entertaining battle to watch! Bijiy verses QueenEatingDragon coming soon! Game of the Month

Entertainer

Let's be completely honest, at least half of you skip everything else to see the Entertainer. Don't worry, I see the motivation! This one though is particularly good!

(Don't L Arjan in the comments.) This month, we have a second Entertainer!

Quite Spectacular! Thank you to everyone who sent me candidate games! If you played a hilarious game that you think is Entertainer worthy, make sure to message me the game link for a shot at being featured!

Player of the Month

There's lots of factors that need to be discussed here. Firstly, we could go with the obvious: R2300. He hit 2500 this month, and has been keeping that rating steadily, and secured the top spot on the leaderboard. We could also go with the option of Huguitooo_xD, who's had an outstanding performance in the RKWC so far. This third candidate may come as a surprise, but NilSeWon meets all the requirements as well! He sits at a solid 2400 rating, the peak of his career, and won the Shield. On top of this, he had a great run against james126 in RKOC. Overall, this is a really tough decision, but I think NilSeWon does take home the Player of the Month title, closely followed by R2300, and in third place Huguitooo_xD, but tell me what you think?

Tip

I've said this before, but I still see people fall for it. Don't get hyper-farmed! I know it seems tempting when you see those kinds of games in the lobby, but you will almost never win. Hyper-farmers have special lines they play only when playing in the 1/2+0 time control, that can throw anyone off. Don't play them!
