pawns secrets

Chess
pawns have way more value than you think

Pawns are maybe just pieces on a chess board with no value?
Pawns have way more secrets than you think like the most common one is promoting you can do this by getting your pawn to the other side of the board and you can switch it to an queen. So It is very useful in the end game for a simple checkmate.

Also there is something called pawn structures. An isolated pawn is where a pawn is by itself and is very open for your opponent to capture also you are just doing your opponent a favor. A double pawn is when two pawns are in front of each other, which is not favorable during the development because you have to move one pawn to move the other. Pawn chains are when your pawn are connected like a chain by a pawn that starts the whole chain and it is very good for you to have a pawn chain so you can block more squares so it is hard for your opponent to move to a square and finally passed pawn is a pawn that is very far on the board and it is very close to promoting also you should always try to make a passed pawn so it will be easy to win in the end game ( note: that opponent will always target the pawn )

All pawns have names queen pawn, king pawn , bishop pawn , rook pawn and knight pawn to find out which pawn is which you have to line up where the pawn is to where the usual piece is. For example if your pawn is where a knight is usually is that is a knight pawn or you can say where does the piece start.

In conclusion pawns are way more useful than you think
