Whether you're chasing victory or just here for the fun, the Curious Kings CC Championship Series has something for everyone. It's the perfect way to start off the new year!
How it works
Every weekend, Curious Kings CC will host a tournament with a random opening position (often tactical, uncommon sidelines to main openings). The opening will be determined at least 3 days before the tournament start date so players can prepare, get used to the opening and it's ideas, etc.
The winner of that weekend's tournament will win lichess patron wings!
This will go on for 10 weeks, the first tournament being on Jan 11th, 2025. The top 3 of each weekend tournament will advance to the next round, a Swiss tournament, where the top 3 winners will be awarded big cash prizes!
All the weekend arena tournaments will be 1 hr 30 min arenas with 3+2 blitz as the time control. The Swiss will be 5+3 blitz time control.

The prizes will be distributed in the following way:
Win big cash prizes for placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the Swiss tournament!*
1st place in each weekend tournament: lichess patron wings
Lucky prizes: In the 5th and 10th weekend tournaments, there will be lucky prizes to be won! Simply finish the tournament in the respective places for prizes!

To join the tournament, simply join the club and the discord. Reminders sent out many times before each tournament starts. The first tournament will be on Jan 11, 2025
