My odd to win the candidates and dethrone Gukesh have started so well the tournament winning both white games a drawing the other with the black pieces. In this post i going to analize the amazing start of Fabi to understand why he is on the top after 3 rounds
Who is the real nº2 of the world???? Caruana vs Nakamura
During the last year in the world ranking after Magnus Carlsen who is the best of course, Nakamura has been the number 2 and Fabiano the third but i always thougth that of course Hikaru is a elite player but for me Fabiano is better. Anyway they are maybe the best 2 candidates to win this tournament and they faced in the first round cause both are Americans, so lets analize the game.
Solid draw vs Solid Giri
In the candidates tournament use to be neccesary +4 to win the tournament so you can just play solid with black specially if you are winning your whites. In this game Giri reach a confortable position with the bishop pair but he couldn ́t find how to put black in troubles.
Just 19 moves!!??!! Caruana vs Wei Yi
After start with 2 draws the chineese player played agressive the opening sacrificing 2 pawns but he couldn ́t still with the initiative.
In the 4º round Caruana is going to face Sindarov who have 2.5/3 too so this game is going to be key, so lets see what happen.
