To the hapiness for all the chess fans this 2 legends decided to return to the board to play a Fisher Ramdom match of 12 games in Saint LouisThis blog is a great resume and analysis of the match but if you want to understand better the games with the perspective of a master i analyze all the games in my youtube channel. Full Match Analysis
Initial position
The principal charasteristic who cames to my mind is the h1 bishop in the corner who should be open early.
The king is not clear where should go, long castle is the easy but here i want to kkep open the option to can jump 4 squares to the left with the king in case of danger in the queenside.
Ideas with Bb4 attacking the f8 rook if blacks moves the central pawns looks logical and in general place the bishop in the a3 f8 diagonal so safe.
To be Fisher Ramdom the pieces are well placed and is going to be good armony.
My favourite opening move was g4, anoying so much the g8 knight and followed by f4 d4 Nc3 maybe but all depends of the blacks play but more less thats the correct placement of the pawns.

Initial contact R1
The first game start with great expectative to see wat level still having this 2 beasts and doesnt dissapoint, in the first game we have everything, man changes in the evaluation bar, opposite castle attacks, exchange sacrifice and finally a three repetition of Anand to save the game.

Kasparov not take advantaje of the bishop pair R2
Anand give the bishop pair to early to double white pawns but this only help kasparov to control all the darks squares but he wasnt able to put pressure ina great position.

Baku Ogre strikes first R3
Garry reach so fast advantaje with the black pieces just taking control of the d4 square only to then give back the control of this square playing g5 nd Kf7 so careless and after that they reach a equal endgames but disbalanced with pawn mayoritys in each side of the board and Anand trying to win mades a blunder who gives Kasparov 2 distant passed pawns enoght to win the first game of the match.

Piece Blunder in 8 moves R4
Yeah like you are earing, Garry blunders a piece in the move 8 with white, difficult to happen in classic chess but in Fisher Ramdom blitz everything can happen but the most incredible is not the piece blunder, is kasparov making a daw with a piece and a pawn dawn.
At least he anand had a pinned knight in the center but instead of retunr the knight in a active way winning 2 pawns o just playing b4 to checkmate Gary he give up the piece in a so passive way to enter in a endgame witha pawn up where Kasparov with a energetic paly ends drawing, incredible game to end the first day.
