ChessDojo Launches The Dojo Training Program 4.0
Imagine being good enough at chess to handle any type of position or opening surprise. Sounds amazing, right?ChessDojo Launches 4.0
The latest in chess technology might not be what you think. It’s a chess community and training program with a proven track record to increase your chess rating. Just launched: the Dojo Training Program 4.0
Originally an experiment to see if it was possible to create a training program that would work for anyone (and we mean anyone 0-2400+), ChessDojo has grown into a fully-fledged training program with a proven track record in increasing chess player’s ratings and strength with our comprehensive suite of level-based training materials, tools, a whole bunch of chess analytics, and a community of hundreds of chess players from 0-2400 ELO that will help analyze your games, mentor you and spar with you.
Imagine being good enough at chess to handle any position or opening surprise. Sounds amazing, right? Well, that is our aim with ChessDojo: to make people better at chess by using their heads and not memorizing endless opening lines.
Once a year, we update the program requirements, and we are excited to announce that we have launched the Dojo Training Program 4.0 and added many new training tools and features to help chess players of all skill levels. To celebrate the launch, we’re also offering 40% off your first month until June 15th if you use the code CHESS40 when you check out.
So, what is ChessDojo, and is it right for you?
At ChessDojo’s heart, we focus on the adult chess players who have a busy life but love chess. Does any of this sound familiar?
- I have no idea what I should study; there’s so much chess content.
- I don’t have time to work on my chess, I have a job/family/insert life problem here.
- I play online and don’t have anyone to play with, and tell me how to improve
- There isn’t a chess club near me
- I want to get better for a chess tournament
If any or all of these apply, ChessDojo has helped players like you get better at chess and, more importantly, enjoy the process of improving with a buzzing chess community, training program, and chess improvement tracker filled to the brim with tools and analytics.
Created by GM Jesse Kraai, IM David Pruess, and IM Kostya Kavutskiy, ChessDojo is a community of chess improvers with a simple-to-follow training program that takes you from 0 to 2400+ by giving you exactly what you need to study for YOUR level—no fluff.
But don’t take our word for it, here are some of the things ChessDojo graduates had to say:
“I gained 92 FIDE elo in my last tournament and it’s purely because I knuckled down and followed the Dojo Training Program, making sure to play, analyze with the community and do the work they set out for my level.” - Matt Perchard 1778 FIDE
“I joined the Dojo about a year ago and gained a little over 500 rating points on chess.com. ChessDojo is a great program that points you in the right direction. If you do what they recommend and put in the time, you will improve.” - Tom 850 chess.com
"The Dojo has single-handedly been the best thing to happen for my chess. I was stuck in the mid-700s on chess.com and showing little improvement. However, in a short time, I managed to break the 1k club. None of this would have been possible without the Dojo's program." - Pepperchess 1011 chess.com
With the latest release of Dojo 4.0, the training program can now feed you your daily and weekly tasks based on your training profile and time preferences. We’re nerding out about our new training plan algorithm! You can set exactly how much time you want to spend on chess each day/week and, poof! The Dojo algorithm will break down what tasks you need to do for how long each day, so you can just follow what you need to do. That’s it.

As well as your daily tasks, the Dojo has a bunch of great tools and features.
A huge discord community of improvers:
Find training partners, discuss games, books, and more in the popular Dojo Discord, which contains thousands of dedicated players.

(Dojo's vibrant community, you can join the Discord here)
Repertoire Spy:
The all-new repertoire spy tool can load up your opponents' opening tree, or your own, for an in-depth look at the opening strengths and weaknesses.

(The repertoire spy tool used to better prepare for your next opponent)
Clubs:
You can create and join your own clubs! So, whether you want a private study club or a public cohort, you can keep tabs on all of your friends.

(Clubs page, there are clubs from various locations and themes!)
Leagues:
The Dojo has online classical leagues and round robins for you to get a long game where your opponent thinks and analyses with you afterwards.

(ChessDojo's Lichess team host various leagues that run on Lichess)
This is only the tip of the iceberg, it would take a much longer article to tell you about everything the Dojo has to offer, so I’d suggest that if you are curious about the program and want to improve your game, you try out the Dojo Training Program for a month with our 40% discounted offer (used code CHESS40) at checkout), use all of the tools and utilize the brilliant community they have while you have the chance!
