Words from the Founder

Chess has always been a central topic in our household. It's amazing how both of our sons have developed such a keen interest in the game. Their passion for chess is undeniable, and it's all they seem to think about.

As parents, we wanted to ensure that our children could pursue their passion and that's why we spared no effort in providing them with top-tier coaching and learning resources. Despite the challenges of juggling work and family life, we made sure to accompany them to tournaments across the country, knowing how much it meant to them.

However, along this journey, I very soon realized the two challenges:

Challenges

1. The entire chess ecosystem, including players, parents, organizers, coaches, etc., isn't privileged to have next-gen tech even after 150+ million gamers online.
2. Chess is pretty easy to learn but extremely difficult to master as a game. Assessing one's exact knowledge and creating a time-optimized ROI improvement plan isn't easy.

Determined to find a solution, I decided to develop the following:

Solution

1. Creating a seamless WhatsApp bot and a tournament management SaaS platform for the entire chess fraternity to address their day-to-day tournament activities, including pairings, discovery, registration, and finding coaches, etc.
2. A program to help our boys improve their chess. It may have had the ugliest UI you've ever seen, but it worked! Both made significant improvements, gaining 400+ online points in just 4 months.

The success of our WhatsApp bot surpassed our initial expectations, with over 20,000 OTB chess players signing up organically within 5 months. This motivated us to tackle even deeper issues within the chess community.

In just 6 months, we developed a detailed chess assessment and a revamped UX version of our learning platform, and last week, we rolled out our first set of beta users. We're now gearing up for an official launch in 1 month.

It's been an incredibly rewarding journey so far, and we're thrilled to continue making a positive impact in the world of chess. Here's to solving more chess problems and contributing to the success of chess players everywhere. Excited for what lies ahead!
