Fortun£ Friday$ July Edition Prize Winners

Our second-ever free-to-play July edition was our most popular event yet, with over 200 players participating and 46 countries represented! We had some of the top chess grandmasters and other titled players in the world participating in the event, including 9 GMs, 8 IMs, 9 FMs, 7 CMs, and over 100 non-titled players.

The event was won by Belarusian Grandmaster Sergei Zhigalko, who held a peak ranking of #49 in the world in July 2011 and a peak FIDE classical rating of 2696. As of 30/7/24, he is ranked #1 in the world for the variant Chess960 (Fischer Random Chess) on Lichess. Second place went to Peruvian International Master Renato Alfredo Terry Lujan, and third place went to Russian Super Grandmaster Dmitry Andreikin.

Looking Ahead: The August Edition is Our Third Ever Free-to-Play Cash Prize Event!

We are thrilled to announce that we are continuing our August edition to be free to play. Players just need to join our Discord server which can be found here to receive the passcode to join the event.
