Celebrating over a year of running the Fortun£ Friday$ Series on lichess, we are thrilled to announce that the winner of the September edition will receive accommodation, free entry, an IOW T-shirt, and £50 (subject to T&Cs). More information on the event can be found below.

Prize Eligibility
Eligibility for Cash Prizes:
- To be eligible for these prizes, players must join our Discord to receive the event password and play at least one game in the tournament.
1st Place Prize Eligibility:
- Only titled players playing on a titled account are eligible to win free accommodation, entry, £50, and an IOW T-shirt for the 2025 IOW Masters.
- If an untitled player or a tilted player using an untitled account wins first place, they will receive £50, free entry to the IOW Masters, and an IOW T-shirt.
- The prize is not redeemable for cash value or transferable to another player.
- If the first-place winner is rated under 1600 FIDE, the free entry will be valid for the U2000 Holiday tournament or Weekend Congress.

3. Join the event here and enter the passcode received in step 2.
IOW Masters 2025: Key Information
Prize Pool: £4,000+
Norm Chances: Offering norm chances, with numerous Grandmasters and other titled players already entered.
Location: Isle of Wight, just 22 minutes from Portsmouth by ferry.
Tournaments and Dates:
- 9-round FIDE-rated International Masters Tournament (18th-23rd February)
- 6-round FIDE-rated Holiday U2000 Tournament (18th-23rd February)
- 5-round FIDE-rated Weekend Congress (21st-23rd February)
- 3 x 7-round FIDE-rated Blitz Tournaments (19th, 21st & 23rd February)
Eligibility: Open to all players rated over 1600 FIDE.

Fair Play & Prize Distribution
Fair Play Assurance:
The tournament will be monitored by a world-leading FIDE Arbiter. Any players caught by our cheat detection system will be banned from future events and forfeit any prize money.
Prize Distribution:
Winners will be contacted via Lichess for PayPal details, and prizes will be sent accordingly.
Prize Payout Timeline:
All prizes will be paid on the Sunday one week after the tournament start date, unless otherwise instructed by the organiser.
Prize Forfeiture Policy:
Players have one month to claim their prize after notification. After this period, prizes are forfeited and added to the next month's prize pool.
Ranking Adjustments:
If a player is disqualified after the event (e.g., account closure or fair play violation), players will move up accordingly in the final standings, and prizes will be reallocated. This follows standard tournament practice.
Organiser Rights:
The organiser reserves the right to remove players, reduce the prize fund, or make adjustments regarding prize payments or any aspect of the event, before, during, or after the tournament, at their discretion.
