Enjoy my breakdown of my latest win in the Scandinavian! My Latest Win
Dear chess friends,
For today's blog/video, I'd like to share with you my latest win in the Scandinavian, in just 21 moves, against a 2200+ FIDE opponent, right here on Lichess!
Here is the video:

And here's the game with Lichess's automatic engine analysis:
Want To Master The Scandinavian And Never Fear 1.e4 Again?
While the Scandinavian is a relatively easier system to master as Black (as there's only one major structure to learn - d4 vs ...c6 or ...e6), it took a lot of games before I reached this level of comfort with the opening, where I could play a mistake-free game with the opening even in blitz chess.
The good news is, that path can be much easier for you.
You can learn from my mistakes, how I beat players of different levels (including those closer to your level), and also apply the key ideas from the leading experts of the opening (including myself) in your own games.
One of the things I love about the Scandinavian is that there's so many different ways to play it. Whether you're a tactical or a positional player, there's a way to play it that fits with that style.
If you'd like to discover more, I can recommend my course 'Play The Strongest Scandinavian In 2025', which I am in the middle of updating with many new model games and variations, explained by me.
The free content I'm sharing about the Scandinavian over the next week (on Lichess, YouTube and for my email list) will get you started with the opening. But it's the course that will give you the real improvement and results you're looking for.
