Adventures with the White Lion
I play this openingvariant for 40 years now and that tells me that I could have some valuable experience where others can maybe find some help. For me it started as a way to avoid opening theory but it became a beloved opening.https://lichess.org/nd2vINSs
This is my last game with this opening and I will analyse the moves with SF and also tell my thoughts about the moves. A human perspective on a slightly inferior opening but it is only inferior if Black knows how to react... To make clearer I show the main position I am aiming for. In this blog I will mainly focus on the Lion with White after e4-e5 but I have played it against French, Caro, and Sicilians but I like it most after e4-e5...

Here is an example game on how Black reacts very good to my play and how I ruin my position when the attack fails...

In this last example game I play the move Rg1 where Stockfish says d4 is more accurate... Those are a bit more advanced moves but it does show what can happen

From here on I will follow up with an logical move order to get to what I call the White Lion. I will start from e4-e5 and try to explain and show the differences between the variations, I will use Stockfish analysis also but not to often. I foremost want to show the human perspective...
