**The ego leads us to be more interested in what we want rather than what the person in front of us is doing, which is detrimental to chess improvement.**

**However, chess masters have been training to overcome the ego obstacle with a lot of practice. The most well-known technique is asking questions to themselves during the game, such as: “What does my opponent want?”**

**Usually, Grandmasters are advanced in this regard and see when a trap is set for them. However, they are not perfect and also can fall into such traps. This brings us to the Game of the Week...**
