14 years ago, I was looking for a practice opponent on the Internet. I only found one online site that had a correspondence game. Of course, there was online play on that site, but the number of participants was not very large and my internet speed was extremely slow. A few years later, I wanted to play online again and I searched on Google. 3 new sites had been added and things had gotten much better. I created an account and started playing.
Until I met the Lichess site during the boring Corona period. It was great. It had everything and it was free. In these few years, I had never been a member of any team and I only participated in Lichess tournaments. Until a few months ago, I participated in a Swiss-style team tournament and realized the excitement of team games. But unfortunately, the leader of that team was disrespectful to the members. I decided to have my own team. I founded it 3 months ago. Currently, our team has exactly 1000 members. In less than 3 months !!! This is amazing. We have members from all over the world. From Iran, Russia, Germany, Turkey and India to the USA, Armenia, Norway and even the UAE and South Africa are on our team. I thank them all. But I have special respect for some of them. Why ???
Since the beginning of the team, I have met people who joined the team, participated in its tournaments and then left the team. At that time, my team only had 4 members. Some also left the team after losing to me. But others did not. They thanked me for the tournaments and wished me success. Others fought for my team in team battles. Some promoted my team in their tournaments and there are others who participate in my team's Swiss tournaments every night. I envy their loyalty and character.
