Cheater Debate

ChessTournament
Someone with a low rating smashing everyone at tournament.

An 800 beating everyone (including me).

I recently played a chess tournament and saw that an 800 got first place in my section. I had also played against that person and lost with my rating being much higher than his. He got a perfect score of 5 out of 5 beating some of the highest-rated people in my section (me being one of them) and after the tournament, I suspected something was going on.

Looking deeper

I recently checked on past tournaments of his and saw that he had lost to higher rated than him but were lower than most of the higher-rated people in my section. People who played in the tournament that also lost against him suspected that he had cheated. All of his games were played as if they were played by a 2000 or higher. He probably didn't use a computer since all of his moves weren't always the best but I still have that idea out there.

He before had played okay for his rating and had slowly improved, but this tournament he just played in had just been very suspicious as he hadn't jumped this high in rating points ever in his history of playing chess. Just saying, he was provisional and had played now to officially have a real rating, from the previous tournament to 800 to 1300. A massive jump and reasonable to how many high-rated people he beat.

He had played in online tournaments for a while and had a rating of 1100 in quick but doesn't really matter, but just throwing it out to curious people. He is very young so I think that his parents or someone else had thought of the complex idea to somehow cheat in this tournament. During my game, he had gone to the bathroom more times than I could count and had disturbed me many times and talked to me, but I thought that it wouldn't affect the game I would play. Later, I would soon see a chance of something everybody hates when people do, cheating.

Some advice from the professionals

Many of my friends and people that played in the tournament had their coaches check and think about if he had cheated or not. One said that he played too well in games and he is 90% sure that he did cheat and that he might ruin another tournament that he will play in if he cheats. Other coaches said that he played too differently and complexly on his level of playing and that he could understand topics of things that nobody of our ratings would even consider during the games.

His next move

I saw that he registered for some next tournaments that I'm playing in and I will see more carefully at his behavior and make sure that he won't ruin the beauty of playing in chess tournaments. If I'm wrong, then sorry for this entire action I'm doing to the player that I'm talking about, and hope that he will do his best later. But still from here, I lean to the cheating side for now.
