Anya Taylor-Joy - 'The Queen's Gambit' Backstage Speech - 2021 Emmy Awards
Queen's Gambit wins 11 Emmy awards!Hi Guys
I am delighted overall with the success of the Queen's Gambit with the slight caveat of the inaccuracies in the series. The show overall for me was deeply compelling and I loved the various tournament venues. I did one or two Youtube videos about games from the show including this one:

It seems they were all a bit shocked at the awards. The show won 11 Emmys out of 18 nominations including a surprising win for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.

A particularly great category to win was: "Outstanding Limited Series" category.
Candidates:
Mare of Easttown
I May Destroy You
WandaVision
The Queen's Gambit
WINNER: The Queen's Gambit
Great show and I will be rewatching it soon. I find quite often when rewatching stuff, one picks up more details, inaccuracies, etc :)
Netflix in my view, in general, seems to be getting increasingly more addictive. I recently watched "Bosch" with interest and am now checking out "Elementary". It seems there is a large competition for our eye-ball time, and Netflix is a big player, being able to produce award-winning stuff. And it is great that it helps on this occasion to promote Chess :)
Takeaway points
- A Netflix show about Chess can indeed become a hit show!
- I do spend a lot of time watching stuff on Netflix - currently, I am watching "Elementary". Previously to that "Bosch". Let me know your favorite shows to watch :)
Hope you enjoyed this blog :). Any likes and follows are really appreciated. Also, I also have some interesting chess courses at https://kingscrusher.tv/chesscourses to check out.
