Your New Winning Repertoire

Last week I shared a complete SHARP & SIMPLE OPENING REPERTOIRE. It’s a practical setup you can use right away. No heavy theory. Just clear ideas that create problems for your opponents and give you active positions from move one.

Last time we looked at the Scotch Gambit for White. You can read the previous post here. Today I want to take you to the other side of the board with the Sicilian Scheveningen - a simple, practical setup that still gives you real attacking opportunities.

Black follows a simple and logical plan based on basic opening principles:

  1. Fight for the center: c5, d6, dxc4
  2. Develop the kingside: Nf6, e6, Be7, 0-0
  3. Develop the queenside: Nc6, Bd7, Rc8

Later Black starts attacking on the queenside with three typical ideas:

  • pushing the pawns with a6 and b5
  • using pressure on the half-open c-file
  • jumping with a knight to c4 (Ne5–c4 or Na5–c4)

You can download all variations from the opening repertoire for free, and the video where I explain all the ideas is in the previous post.
