Type of Tournament
Rapid: Swiss tournament with 12 rounds, disputed from 2 to 4 august. Blitz: Round Robin tournament in the pools stage (max 7 rounds). Knockout tournament for 16 best teams.
Time Controls
Rapid: 15 minutes + 10 seconds increment per move. Blitz: 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment per move.
Where will the tournament take place?
In Astana, where the previous World Classical Championship was disputed. From 1 to 6 august.
Prizes
250,000$ to Rapid Championship and 100,000$ for Blitz Championship. A total of 350,000$
Team Requirements
The event is open to teams from all over the world. Teams can be made of members from different clubs or federations. The mininum is 6 members. Maximum 9 members. There MUST be: - 1 Female Player. - 1 Recreational Player (a player who never reached 2000 elo in any of the time controls, standard, rapid and blitz). - A Captain that can also play.
