A Lichess Game: When One's Blunder Gives the Other Checkmate

AnalysisChessLichessOff topic
Very first blog, so it won't be as good. Today's match was a crazy one...

Welcome everyone to my first blog here, so it would be an eye sore at times,s but it would be worth the read. Anyway, ay on Feb 23, I played a match that was a noobish but awesome one.

This game url shows the awesomeness I did

Game at First Hand

So while my opponet move pieces, we made some pretty bad mistakes.

On Move 10, Black made the mistake of hanging the bishop to take my rook near the queen for my horse. Sadly, I didn't see it and thus blundered a piece...and my rook as well.

And on Move 12, I moved my knight to WHERE the bishop USED to be...and pretty much killed the horse.e

But here comes the big thing....

Mega Blunder!

As I thought I might lose another game, my opponent played amovea, a black pawn to e4.

So I took it, which left my queen hanging.... until the crazy thing happened... He used his bishop to take my rook on e1! WHICH LEFT HIS QUEEN HANGING!!!. (Move 15)

So I took it with my pawn, which I think my opponent knew he blundered badly and seemed to premove his rook on d5, butIi of course took the rook with my queen.

Endgame

As I knew my victory was in reach, black played the queen side horse, which they figured I was gonna do a bishop-queen mate on the black square. So as I prepared for it, they moved the bishop to where they know i cant place my queen or else it would be a bad blunder...

Endgame Move

So out of my one-brain cell mind, I moved the horse on move 19

My idea was to bait the black horse to mine.... and it worked perfectly.

With this, I took the horse, and rreadiedmy queen onto the black square the horse was on. The Black Bishop tried to take it, but failed as I checkmated the black king in 21 (awesome number to end on, honestly) moves!

Conclusion

Make sure to keep an eye out on the board, lucky chances but also unlucky ones may surface, but always use them to your mightest whenever you play chess!

Peace mate!
