Racing kings: my most successful variant

Chapter I: where it all started

It all started a long time ago, when only the 200 highest-rated players were shown. I wanted to get onto a leaderboard and Crazyhouse was my best bet, even though it was 400 ELO points away...

Chapter II: something new?

Back then, I was playing variants more randomly. I played my first game of RK in a long time, and I won. A few weeks later, I played around 5 more games and gained over 200 ELO...

Chapter III: my new best bet

I saw that the required leaderboard ELO was 1830, so I asked myself: is this it? Is this the way? Will I finally make it to a leaderboard? I played more and got more ELO. My first small problem appeared at 1600, where people started using the double bishop opening (be4 be5) but I quickly got past that with only a few losses. At 1700, it got even harder...

Chapter IV: the leaderboard!

After a few days I got to 1800. Which was just 30 ELO away from my goal. after some more time I got onto the leaderboard for a few minutes but I did not see myself there so I got confused played more games and lost some ELO. (Lichess updates leaderboards hourly-I didn’t knew that back then) after a few days i officially got onto the leaderboard...

Chapter V: a new goal

After some time I hit the ELO of 1900 and got the RKLM title. I started winning tournaments beating strong opponents. And after weeks I finally reached my next goal...

Chapter VI: my biggest success

I hit the ELO of 2000 and got the RKCM title. After some time the most massive racing kings tournament happened. There I finished 4th place. The team I played for Lichess racing kings got second place. I got first in the lichess racing kings team and got 4$ my first chess money. This is still my best tourney. There, I played the game that is, for me, is my most iconic game...

Chapter VIII: a whole new era

You may be wondering why I haven’t said a single word about my team, well that is because it did not even exist yet. So I created RKchess (once again link at the bottom of this post) I added it to countless team battles got both the RKFM and the RKIM titles.i won for my team countless times and now we have a lot of members much more helpers much more wins and fame.
