Bishop advantage.
I'm back!Preface.
Hi all! I'm back! This post is one of my ideas. I hope you will enjoy! Let's go!
Bishop advantage.
We can talk about the advantage of two bishops if one of the players has two bishops, while the opponent has two knights or a knight with a bishop. This advantage is most pronounced in open positions, while in closed positions, knights are more effective, because they can jump over pieces. But to open a position is not so difficult, so if a chess player was able to keep two bishops, then this is a serious advantage in the fight.
Example .
In this position, it is clear that two bishops are a stronger tandem than a combination of two pawns and a rook.
