April 2025 Progress Update

Every month, I take a moment to reflect on my chess journey—and April was another meaningful step forward!

I participated in the FIDE Arbiter Seminar organized by the Mauritius Chess Federation and passed with 92% (pass mark: 80%). It was an insightful experience—even as a FIDE-rated player, I learned a lot. Huge thanks to lecturer Gopakumar Sudhakaran (India) for his excellent teaching. Now, I need to arbitrate three rated tournaments to earn my FA norms and officially become a FIDE Arbiter!

I also received my Lead School Instructor (LSI) Certificate this month!

No OTB tournaments in April, but I played some online chess:

• ChessArena Bullet: 1514+74 = 1588 (+74 Elo)
• Lichess Bullet: 2174+28 = 2202 (+28) – Dropped to 2032 at one point due to bad internet and tilt, but made a comeback.
  Lesson: Don’t play bullet when tired, tilted, or with a bad connection!
• Chess.com Blitz: 1701+32 = 1733 (+32)

I thank God Jesus for every blessing this month. I’ll continue working hard and improving—step by step.
