Uzbekistan GM Javokhir Sindarov is the youngest ever player to win a World Cup. GM Andrey Espinko has secured the last place for the Candidates 2026 after beating Nodirbek Yakobboev 2-0.

Introduction

Javokhir Sindarov, the 19 year old GM from Uzbekistan, has won the FIDE World Cup 2025. He has become the youngest player to win a world cup. The game was going fine, but at last Wei Yi had blundered because he didn't have much time left on the clock. Sindarov beat Wei Yi 1.5 -0.5

Javokhir is 1st with the prize money of $120,000. Wei Yi is 2nd with $85,000 and Andrey Espinko is 3rd with $60,000 and Nodirbek Yakubboev is 4th with $60,000.
