Today was a very good day for me! After I finished school, I no longer had to worry about it and started playing Rapid chess confidently.
This is the preparation for a chess tournament I'm going to be in, in mid-June. The result of today's performance? A jump of 20 rating points.
Sure, I only played 3 games today. But still, this is a **MASSIVE** morale boost for me, considering I haven't played Rapid in a long time.
First off, I started off with a Caro-Kann game, after watching a few videos about the opening itself (including some that are made from *GothamChess*). It was a relatively simple game, with a few times calculating the position *precisely*.

And then, something weird happened on the next game...

I think the other guy was just having *tunnel vision* though. But a win is a win, right? Feeling confident, I decided to play one last game. And this is the game I surpassed the *glorious* **1800 ELO**.

Also, I want to give a huge thank you to Pastanoob11 for inspiring me to finally start my first-ever blog. It means a lot to take this very first step.
Thanks for reading! Leave a like if you enjoyed the games, and please comment or tell me if you have any advice of my opening play :)
