My experience in the FIDE Social Chess day marathon hosted on Lichess.
This is just a personal recount of the 5+3 marathon.
Congrats to Chesstrain-0001 for winning the marathon!!!
I Played 42 games and won only 21% of them If this was bullet however the win rate would be much higher. I have not done blitz for some time.
I also am happy I got the FIDE pawn of participation on my profile, That was the most unexpected thing to happen. And I did not expect to get anything except for top 15% is the marathon. I sure could've done much much better but i am rusty on blitz and was not having a good chess day. I hope it improves when I play the bullet marathon.
I played around 5hours not much more as I had a lot of stuff to do. I am planing on playing https://lichess.org/tournament/summer25 this marathon for around 15h and doing my best possible.
