Honouring GM Naroditsky

A dark cloud hangs over the chess world following the unexpected passing of GM Daniel "Danya" Naroditsky. He was an influential force, bringing the game to countless fans turned players around the world. His energy, passion, skill, and dedication were and are unmatched. He will be sorely missed.

I might be a nobody in the chess world, but I would like to invite everyone on Lichess to participate in the Naroditsky Memorial Arena Tournament on November 9th — what would have been his 30th birthday — at 12:00 PM Eastern Time. It will be a blitz tournament, since he was such a fan of quick chess. Come out and play a game in his honour, and let us all celebrate his life and his work, through the game that he loved so dearly.
