My childlish chess styles...
I used to play like that, but now I don't play.I started playing chess 5 years ago, and I am a much better chess player now than I was 5 years ago. And today, I will remember my childhood, and how I became better.
1. The Bongcloud:
When I first played chess, I saw the biggest piece is the King. Hey, I am talking about OTB chess pieces, not those in Lichess.
So I thought that: "Wait, is the King the most important piece?? It looks bigger than any other pieces!!" And at that time, I usually played e4, ready for the Ke2!! And after a few moves, I lost very soon. Here is a game that I remembered...
I just can remember a few moves, but even I show you all the game, I lost about more than next 10 moves.
And now?? I understood that Early King Development is very bad.
2. Queen Exercise!!
Now, when I have played chess for about... 4-6 months, I started thinking that the Queen has the most pts( 9 pts), and the Queen is very good for the attack.
But I was wrong. It was getting worse and worse!!
That was another game, and it is not about all the moves, but it became -6.2 very soon!! And I have learnt the correct development. So I am better.
3. Pawn push!!
My another mistake is using a piece more than twice in the opening. Why did I use the pawns so much?? It is difficult to develop pieces in a better way. And it seems to be very dangerous. I thought that pawns moves were great for the attack, but...
Yep, I was too silly at that time!!
4. Claiming the center!!
Normally, you can claim the center for a good development. But I claimed the center in a different way. I liked e4 and c4, as they both controlled the d5-square. And even when Black pawn attacked my pawn, I hated trading, for the center advantage.
I just lost the advantage, I should have developed pieces so that every pieces are active!!
5. Silly discover!!
I discovered this opening, but the result was I lost a pawn, and White was better at attack!!
It was such an useless opening!!!
6. Lazy development!!
Here was what I expected:
And here was what I got:
7. Am I better now??
Now it has been 5 years since I first played chess, and I understood chess rules. I have learnt so many tactics and it was finally paid off.
These 6 things are bad and don't try these silly things!!
Btw this is my first blog. I want more advice to write greater blogs. Thanks for reading!!
