This tournament take place during lunar new year for two days and there are 91 players in it.The time control is 30+30 and there are 8 rounds.
I really gain some experience from it compare to online chess
First and foremost, I keep facing time trouble and unable to win "won games".
It is certainly very irony that I am 2000+- in bullet but face serious time trouble in this classical time control tournament LOL
Let's have a look at the 8 games of mine(and don't forget to read the bonus story in the end of this blog )
Day 1:
Game 1 : A bad start
I am having a good edge from the opening but I was unclear how to exploit my advantage.
Game 2: King's Indian Defense is the life saver!
KID is known to be risky sometimes but I decide to be brave and go for a win
Game 3: A game that goes too wrong
I manage to locate her chess.com and lichess account,so I prepare against her opening throughly and get a +2 advantage right out from the opening, but my advantage diminished as I fail to find the winning moves. After some mistake from me I even lose the game.
*I stopped writing this blog for a long time from this part, but I decided to finish this blog now. This would be my second to last blog.(I will explain why in that blog)
Game 4:
Game 5:
Game 6:
Game 7 :
Game 8:
I got no35 out of 93 participants. At least I got to be one of the best unrated player.I think this should also explain why I only have 1265 elo in my FIDE profile when compared to my chess.com profile(which it is a big difference LOL). Update at 7 July 2024 : my elo becomes 1558 elo after FIDE change its inflation rate (or something like that)
Not a great result to be honest. But it is going to be a good memory for me
