Chess
Sharing a thought that I shared during my group classes.

Many chess players think improvement must be very hard.
Because of school or education, some people believe that difficult work is always better work.

In chess, this idea is often wrong.
Your brain learns chess like a sponge.

You play, you repeat patterns, and your brain slowly remembers ideas automatically.

This is why easy tactics are so important.
If your level is 1500, you do not need extremely difficult puzzles every day. Very hard puzzles often create stress and confusion. But easy puzzles create reflexes.

A very good method is simple:

  • Solve easy tactics every day
  • Choose puzzles 300–600 Elo below your level on Lichess
  • Train only 15 minutes per day
  • Solve many puzzles quickly
  • Repeat patterns again and again

At first, this training feels “too easy.”
Some players think they are not working seriously enough.
But this is exactly how strong tactical vision is built.
After some weeks, your brain starts recognizing ideas faster:

  • forks
  • pins
  • discoveries
  • mates
  • hanging pieces

Your brain will start to see tactics naturally, trust the process.

This was the main theme of our last group lesson:

In chess, improvement does not always come from understanding everything immediately.
Sometimes, you simply practice every day and let your brain do its job.

Thank you very much,
