Lichess Ladders: play quality classical games
Join individual and team ladders with 30+30 and 60+30 time controlsIf you're looking for high quality, classical time control games on Lichess, then check out Lichess Ladders.
Here's how the ladders work:
- Each ladder is a pool of chess players
- You can challenge people higher in the ladder, and if you win you take their position and they drop down a place
- Challenges must be accepted. If you don't accept, or don't play, you forfeit the game.
- Do this too often, and you're removed from the ladder
There are currently some 450 players across ladders for 60+30 and 30+30 time controls, including one for players rated under 1800, as well as Chess 960 and correspondence ladders.
There is also a 60+30 team ladder so teams of between 4 and 10 players can challenge other teams; a thriving Discord community and a nascent YouTube channel.
To join, you need to have played at least 12 hours of chess on Lichess (on any time control).
Join the ladders now and start playing classical chess!
