The 2022 chess.com Speed Chess Championship will take place from the 8th to the 20th of December on chess.com as a 16-player knockout tournament. After a drawn-out qualification process, the 16 finalists of the seventh SCC edition will be brawling over the $100,000 prize pool. The field was dubbed "the strongest to date," featuring world #1 Magnus Carlsen and 4-time SCC winner Hikaru Nakamura, among many of the world elite.
