On Saturday, 14 March 2026, the twenty‐fifth edition of the OGD Rapid Chess Tournament will once again be organized in collaboration with OGD ict‐diensten. Over the years, the tournament has become well known—not only because of the large turnout and great atmosphere, but also because of its unique setup: play runs from 2PM in the afternoon until 9PM in the evening, and a hot meal is provided for all participants in between.

There will be 7 rounds of rapid chess played according to the Swiss system. The tournament is divided into an A group, B group, and C group. The time control is 15 minutes + 5 seconds per move.

The A group is open to players with a rating of 2000 or higher.
The B group is open to players rated 1600–2050.
The C group is open to players rated up to 1700.

OGD Rapid 2026 will be the third edition held at the OGD headquarters on Rotterdamseweg in Delft. The prize fund is also larger than in previous years, with nearly €3500 in prize money, including a grand prize of €1000.

Last year's winner GM Anish Giri will not be defending his title but the top of the field includes strong names such as GM Max Warmerdam, GM Loek van Wely and GM Daniel Fridman among others. The top 8 boards will be live broadcast.
