The 2020 Candidates Tournament is a 14 round double round-robin that will decide who challenges Magnus Carlsen in a World Championship match. The players will be given 100 minutes for 40 moves, then 50 minutes for the next 20 moves, then 15 minutes until the end of the game. The players will also have a 30 second increment on every move. The players are not permitted to offer a draw until after move 40. The Tiebreaker, if necessary, will be 1. head-to-head 2. Number of wins 3. Sonneborn-Berger.
