I am a National Master in chess and have been coaching for the last 8 years. I recently finished my undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Finance at Northeastern University in Boston.

I've been playing chess since 1st grade and have been regularly competing in tournaments all over the country. I've play key roles in coaching and leading my high school chess team to State and National Championship wins.

Openings, pattern recognition, initiative, strategic themes

My coaching philosophy emphasizes pattern recognition and big picture concepts. On top of analyzing student games, I often incorporate relevant model games that relate to a lesson theme. My lessons are always personalized to the student, and from the first lesson, I am always assessing the students' strengths and weaknesses and tailoring each lesson in the most effective way.
