About me
Jana Mohamed Zaki – Woman International Master (WIM), a member of the Egyptian National Women's Chess Team, and one of the top female chess players in Africa. I am dedicated to helping students unlock their strategic potential and elevate their game.
Playing experience
I have been playing chess competitively for 7 years. Over my career, I have achieved significant milestones, including qualifing for the Women's World Cup as one of the top-tier players representing the African, winning the bronze medal at the Women's African Individual Championship, the gold medal at the African Junior Championship, and the gold medal at the African Youth Championship across 2023, 2025, and 2026.
Teaching experience
Chess has been a central part of my life from the very beginning. Growing up with a father who was also a chess coach, I was immersed in the nuances of teaching methodology, game analysis, and player psychology from an early age. This lifelong exposure allowed me to deeply understand how to convey complex chess concepts effectively. Over the years, I have successfully transformed this inherited passion into professional coaching, guiding numerous students to significantly improve their ratings, sharpen their strategic thinking, and achieve their competitive goals.
Other experiences
Beyond competing and coaching, I active in the broader chess community. My deep understanding of the game has allowed me to work as a chess commentator and analyst for various tournaments. Additionally, I regularly analyze high-level games and create instructional content, which helps me stay up to date with modern opening trends and theoretical developments.
