Hi! I’m Gastón Martín, a Spanish FM (FIDE Master) . I’m 25 years old and currently working as a Data Analyst in the banking sector. In my spare time, I enjoy playing and teaching chess.
Playing experience
I’ve been playing chess for almost 20 years. I have two IM norms and a peak rating of 2371, and I won the XV Malaga International Open in 2021, ahead of several GMs.
Teaching experience
As a coach, I have almost ten years of experience teaching group lessons to both adults and kids. I have also been a trainer for many young talented players in the Spanish Youth Championships.
Teaching methodology
In class, we will primarily focus on improving strategy and endgames. We will also study openings geared toward the middlegame and the typical plans for each pawn structure.
