CM Uros Rasovic

I am Uroš Rasović, a Candidate Master and an experienced chess coach with a current rating of 2208. I have dedicated many years to playing chess at a competitive level and have been coaching for over 4 years, helping students of all ages improve their chess skills, and love for the game. My approach combines deep understanding of chess with psychological insight, ensuring every student not only learns moves but also learns to think like a chess player.

I have competed in numerous national championships and tournaments, showcasing my skills across a wide range of competitive settings. My experience also includes several international competitions, most notably the World Chess Championship held in Turkey in 2009, where I represented my country and gained invaluable experience at the highest level of play.

I have been coaching chess for over 4 years, specializing in young learners. I work as a chess coach at Chess Club "Budućnost" in Podgorica, Montenegro, where I help children develop not only their chess skills but also critical thinking, concentration, and a love for the game. My teaching combines strategy, psychology, and patience to bring out the best in every student.

I run a YouTube channel where I analyze chess games and create educational content for players of all levels. Through this platform, I share strategies, tips, and insights, helping a wider audience improve their understanding of the game and enjoy chess beyond the board.

I have a strong positional understanding and a natural tendency toward creative play. As a coach, I excel at breaking down complex ideas into clear, actionable lessons, helping students not only learn openings and tactics but also develop strategic thinking and a love for inventive, thoughtful chess.

My teaching covers all aspects of chess, from openings to middlegame strategy, tactics, and endgames. I focus on helping students understand key types of positions and recognize strategic features to make informed decisions over the board. I try to identify weaknesses in the student’s play and design targeted exercises to improve them. I strive to make every session relaxed, enjoyable, and interactive, believing that learning is most effective when both coach and student communicate openly.
