I might be wrong, but I think you might want to play some casual games against some other human players. You might already know all of the beginning and intermediate tricks and traps, but you could review some of the more advanced tactics while playing other people and you could discuss the games with them afterward. I am not a very good player, so the only other piece of advice I can offer is that you might want to make sure you have reviewed everything that one might learn as an intermediate player. Reviewing old skills is not always a waste of time. However, I won't be offended if you take my advice with a grain of salt. You need to do what works for you.
Anyway, I wish you the best.

You should get rid of your paranoia, this isn ́t the other big site ;)
Just looked through all my Classical games from the last 2 years (only 40, I don ́t play it that much). I ́ve been trying to establish myself at 2000+, which I presume is where the "rating manipulators" would start to hang out. 40 games, 12 losses, and in none of them is the slightest sign that an engine was being used; all the losses were my fault.
Bots "play" completely differently to humans; I honestly can`t imagine a worse way to prepare for a tournament!!

I think you definitely can improve by doing all the things you are doing. It's what I did for a few months when I first joined. For some reason I had a lot of anxiety about playing "real people", I don't know if it was rating-related or what. I used the bots to get better and also to get an idea of what my rating might be. Eventually just jumped in and start playing other members. I find people are generally more fun to play, even if you get an occasional "rating manipulator." To me it is just one of the "features" of on-line chess.

I'm sure it's useful for solidifying what you have learned from your studies, just to get the mileage in so you don't forget it. but yeah engines definitely play differently even in forced mates like knb. you can learn to mate engine super quick in those because you can count on it to do certain moves, but when you take it against humans you'll see a lot of new moves you never saw from engine.
so yeah, it'll never help you lke playing humans would, but ofc it's still infinitely better than NOT playing and wasting all your studying.

Yes absolutely you can. By playing long time controls with them. Beatable bots let let's say 100 to 400 elo strength above you. But not the impossible to beat ones. And not the too easy to beat.

But remember bot ratings are not accurate. Just find the right level as you play them. That's what people do when online chess was not popular. I asked the old masters.
