What are your favorite scenes in movies and TV featuring chess games? Several of mine:
Malcolm in the Middle: he and his friend are geniuses and try to play each other. Every game is a draw and they move extremely quickly, games over in seconds. Watching ultra fast games here remind me of the episode.
Blade Runner: a replicant helps a human in a correspondence game, and the opponent knows the moves are too good.
The Blob: a policeman has a correspondence game with a cop in another town. Next time it's on, I will try to get a screenshot of the board to see if the moves they speak match the positions.

The Blade Runner game was apparently immortal.
If I remember correctly, there was a Mission Impossible episode that went through the 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 Nc6 3 Bc4 Nd4 4 Nxe5 Qg5 thing.

Hard to beat the chess in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Kubrick was a massive chess fan and often played on set.

Then their was that legendary Brut commercial in the aftermath of Fischer-Spassky, 1972. AFAIK, it was only shown once. I saw it, as did others. That sequence cannnot be found. In the commercial, the voices were different, and the scene was obviously staged. The final scene, which featured "Fischer" (sic?) seated alone at the board, was a remarkable likeness, that matched a real photograph of Fischer that was taken. My guess is Fischer went ballistic and filed suit.

A legendary scene from Soviet cinema. The bandits wanted to win the citizen and take all his things.

Doesn't look like the bandits are going to get what they want. The citizen has several pieces occupying the center`, but all of the bandits pieces (the ones that have not been captured) are still in their original positions. I tried briefly to run the video, but gave up.

There was also a chess scene in an episode of Columbo.
Not just a scene, the episode The Most Dangerous Match is about the rivalry of two chess masters. I could not find the whole episode online, but the most interesting content for us chess players is probably the game they play in a hotel room just the day before a prestigious match. We get to see the whole chessboard there and a simple but nice combination from an actual game.
There is an extensive review of the episode on YouTube.
