I know ratings points don't mean everything, but I have been on a really dark journey as of late with regard to my rating.
I got to over 2000 rapid and 1930 blitz on Chess.com... I am rated over 2000 blitz on the Chessbase server and almost got to 2000 here recently... then everything just turned to complete garbage in my chess game.
Specifically on chess.com I tilted off 300 points of blitz in a really bad 6 hour session and fell to 1600 blitz, and now I have been stuck there for weeks!
I do not understand at all how I can suddenly not beat players on chess.com that I was crushing just a few weeks ago.
I study a lot and usually win against everyone below 1700 at the very least... what is happening to me? Can anyone give me some insight into this?

You only have 1867 blitz here.
The other site is sometimes named cheat.com.

In 3+0 games, one is, to a large extent, guessing what to do. The quality of one's guesses can be adversely affected by one's emotional state.

My emotional chess state is terrible!!!
Yeah, I am 1867 blitz on here, but at least it isn't 1600 like on chess.com.
Am I two different people on two different sites?
You really think the 1600 players are using engines?

The gambler visits the casino. He keeps on winning and he's so happy. Then he loses. And loses again. Now he's mad, how can the casino do this to him? He's smarter than the average gambler, he deserves to win and he's entitled to win. Day after day he returns, tired and frustrated but convinced this is the day.

Others probably know more about this than I do, but, as I understand it, a 1600 chess.com rating does not mean that one will have a 1600 lichess rating.

Great analogy, except this is chess. Do you think blitz is like gambling? I think if you're used to playing at a certain strength for a long time, you can certainly expect that performance in the future to some capacity, right?
If I just got to 1900 blitz by luck I would agree, but I have a decent rating pretty much on all sites and a 2000 rapid rating on chess.com.

Yeah, it is a bit different, maybe lichess is easier, but again, my rating is pretty okay or at least has been until this meltdown.

Take a break? Like, having 6 hour playing sessions (not just chess) takes quite a lot of energy. So, maybe don't play chess for about two weeks. Have a healthy lifestyle during this time, should help. Even if it doesn't, don't obsess over it, just enjoy chess. "I know rating points don't mean everything" yet you seem to worry about them quite a bit. Having less rating points won't make you less of a person, so don't allow those silly numbers to interrupt your enjoyment. Wholeheartedly, I wish all the best to you! :D

Well sure, but if someone had reached expert or master level, and then suddenly they were losing to A and B players constantly, wouldn't they start to worry a bit about their cognitive skill?
I am not saying I'm a master, but the analogy still applies at lower levels, right?
