is 1.b3 as white a great weapon to beat lower rated people (1300 uscf) like me to get to 1700-2000

Now I will use this: https://www.chessable.com/short-sweet-1b3/course/74311/ and a lot of other prep on my own.
So do you think it can get me to 2000 uscf by the end of the year (I will play around 15+ tournaments by the end of the year)?
Yes, I know it seems like a very unreachable goal but I believe I can do it with my hard work I am already putting in chess.

Probably not to 2000, but certainly in the 1500 to 1600 range. By then the novelty will have worn off, and it will be time to try something different and broaden your repertoire.

I play the English really good and I have studied lots of lines, (and yes its my main repertoire), but i want to try something new to get my rating higher (1.b3). My question is can the English finish the job to 2000 rated?

Hi!
1.b3 has been played by strong players such as Nimzowitsch and Larsen, and Fischer also used it successfully in several games. Carlsen and Nakamura have played it occasionally in fast time controls. It is an opening that can be used at any level.
However, switching to a new opening, whether 1.b3 or any other, is not enough to increase your rating. Improving requires studying all areas of chess, training regularly, playing, and analyzing your games.
Working with a coach can make this process faster. If you want to reach out, I work with students in your rating range.
Best

Idk.

My problem with b3 is that Black can block it.

If you're serious about checking it out, GM Adhiban has made a course on it on Chessable.

You can play Nf3 and c4 first to prevent the pawn block from Black. (If you find a safe place for your king, you can also challenge the pawn block with your pawns - hypermodernism. I suck at it; good luck).

One of my favorite games in the Chicago open, I played 1. Nf3 ... 2.b3. I was playing an opponent that was 8 years old and rated 1900. This opening has its place, but as a main weapon? Crazy talk.

youre simply giving up the centre because you want a less theoretical game

Yeah, a quick update maybe not 1.b3 but maybe something like 1. nf3 and 2.b3 or is 1. c4 the better option? (with no b3)

Both of those are probably good. I personally don't like 1.Nf3 2.c4 and 1.c4 and a later e3, but there's many serious option out there.
