Nice new feature, but the words Quality - Standard do not represent the time settings correctly.
At the moment Quality is done with little time and Standard with lots of time ? Ah the word standard means something like Default, and as you increase the time the analysis quality improves.
I was thinking more like : Quick (Short analysis) ... Deeper (Long analysis) but I get it now.

Standard means "do an analysis that is roughly the same strength as a server analysis". It uses a work-based threshold (nodes), not a time-based one.
Modern CPUs with 8+ cores usually require less than 2s (the minimum timed value) to analyze a move at standard strength.

Every analysis has their limits. How many local analysis can we do on the same game?
I'm comparing server vs local analysis.
Server Fishnet Nodes per move: 1,000,000
A server analysis is done only once, but our local analysis we can redo it more than once, by pressing that gear icon. Nicely done. I also noticed, if i do not use standard and select a time in seconds the comparison example 2x standard quality increases as the game exchanges pieces. In the end game it was up to 4x standard quality, which gives a reason to use movetime instead of standard node limit.

Another minor nit about this feature. The buttons at the end of the game say "Analyze on your device". Then the dialog that pops up says "Analyse". American vs. British spelling of the word.

The server evals are saved in the pgn :)
The local evals are not saved in the pgn :(
When we go to our profile game page we see Computer Analysis Available.
But we do not see Local Analysis Done.
If we go to the game we do see something like:
5 Inaccuracies
2 Mistakes
9 Blunders
243 Average centipawn loss
39% Accuracy
82% Opening
36% Middlegame
So the game was locally analysed and it does retain those evals in the graph, just not the evals in the pgn.

Analyse vs. Analyze ... This could avoid the terminology linguistic issues.
A magnifying glass paired with a graph could be a standard to adopt, to stop the debate or simply write "Start Analysis" or "Evaluate".

I noticed that if I open a different browser the local evals done are not saved online.
Seems to me the saved evals are in our browser data. I also noticed the clear data button.
Could we have a button that will let us download the pgn with the local evals added to the pgn?
Then we could press clear local data.

Hi.
Is there a reason to not upload the local analysis to the server like if it was a Fishnet node?
All my computer's local analysis seems to do better than fishnet.
That would virtually increase fishnet without having to generate api keys and so on.

You cannot upload analysis of regular games because the Lichess team felt it would be abused.
You can, however, upload them to a study.
