Lichess started in 2010. It's been 16 years, which doesn't feel like that long but think about it: if someone who was 90 made an account in 2010, there's a good chance they might not be with us anymore. Their account could still be there, even if they aren't.
That means some accounts might still exist even though the people who made them don't anymore. Kinda weird when you think about it ;p
And if you think about it further, it doesn't even have to be an old account. There could be newer accounts whose owners aren't with us anymore either.
Also I wonder how old the oldest person was when they made their lichess account, and how young the youngest was :)
Sorry if this is a weird or kinda dark post :O
I'm not sure how old the oldest person was when they made their Lichess account, but I think everyone knows the youngest person who made their account was kind_panda at an astonishing 2 years old! Beating the previous record by just 6 months that was made by MateyPanda!
*Don't take this seriously, just a joke :)*

When I was two I didn't even know that such a thing as a website existed, let alone being able to type a username and password...
@Kitsune9Tails and @Quasar3C273
kind_panda probably used help from [claude](https://lichess.org/forum/off-topic-discussion/ummm-google-ai-you-good#MII06Mge).

Yeah, that feels sad. Embedded memories on Lichess for people who aren’t in this world anymore ️ .
