Yeah we never know why accounts are banned. Lichess could list a reason?

Threads that are dedicated to specific Lichessians* do not encourage general discussion, which is the point of forums; they do not respect people's privacy, as it is not our business why someone got banned; they are useless, since users are to use the appeal page if they wish to appeal.

*Such as, 'Today is my birthday,' 'I reached X rating,' and, 'Why did X close their account?'

I see his account only mentions a Terms of Service violation on Lichess. If the account is permanently closed, shouldn't it say 'Account does not exist' or 'Account has been closed'?

you can assume that Lichess does not make such decisions without intense diligence.
Don't assume he's innocent, just because he was famed.
Also it's marathon day, there were quite many other high profile players caught cheating during marathons before.
(also to the bottom person Please Don't Capitalize Each Word Like That)

I'm not saying he's innocent, BUT Lichess literally closed my account about a month ago for having multiple accounts, even though I only use this one and hadn't touched the others in years.

They didn't just flag my account either. They straight-up closed it. I had to submit an appeal, and after about 3–4 days, they finally reinstated it.

So while I'm not defending Arkadiy, I know firsthand that Lichess can make mistakes when enforcing their rules.
