They'd have to get rid of him somehow. Western elites -- the real elites, not the ones you see on the tee-vee -- like their political puppets weak and malleable, so they stay the course.

Was only pointing out that if you fear ethnic diversity rossia might be the worst choice. After writing that, Fred was still the son of German immigrants. ;-P
The Republicans are his fanclub over there, right?
He has completely different cultural heritage with extensive military and KGB experience. I don't see the relevance of considering him as a U.S. candidate in an alternate history, if you will.
