what matters in life

no this is not a statement, its a question

what even matters in life guys?

no this is not a statement, its a question what even matters in life guys?

Questions about life and existance cannot be answered, because noone knows 100% sure why we are created in the first place. But being here in the first place, common goals could be marrying, being good at something, maybe reaching #1 in a sport, etc., but always REACHING something. Anything.

But for a clearer answer, what exactly do you mean with ''matter''?

In my opinion, how can that be the highest goal of a person? You only live once, so why waste that one life, worshiping a ''god'', which maybe doesn't even exist? And even if you're religious, even then, ''Christ'' can never be your highest goal in life.

Well it was said light-heartedly, but I do believe that. Christians would say that Christ, a person, would be the highest goal since he is the only perfect being in the universe; everything and everyone else is corrupted and flawed in some way. We only live one life on this earth, but there is something beyond it, so us Christians are willing to sacrifice temporary pleasures in order to keep ourselves focused on the end goal; as for the existence of God (nothing heavy at all lol), obviously Christians would be certain that God exists, while irreligious people would not be. Christ is our highest goal in life in the sense that we should become like Christ in our thinking and action; and eventually, we will see Christ, God, face to face in the beatific vision in heaven. Hope this clarifies some stuff! God bless
