Wei Yi and the Quest for Initiative

Both the games really seem extra-terrestrial and give a sense of how strong GMs are. Wei Yi seems very calm but inside the mind is ruthless. rooting for him to atleast reach Candidates next time.

Not bad, but still I have fewer losses against GMs like Wei Yi!

Cool, and gratz to Wei Yi for playing in a fun manner. The game against Max is lacking analysis... article doesnt mention that the completely crazy position was actually equal for a long time. Black seems to have gone wrong with 16...Bxf3 when instead they shouldve pursued an idea beginning with 16...a5 , idea quite simply ...b5 and ...a4 trapping bishop.

For a little bit, that Nh1 is indirectly defended (Qa1+ stuff) , and the black pawn moves would force White's hand to trade off pieces and let Black's other pieces breathe
