How to learn new openings?

I have prepared studies with all the moves, but I have trouble remembering them. What are your methods for remembering new moves?

Go through GM games from those openings, especially the most common variations and sidelines. Don't memorize everything, understand the the underlying strategy behind the moves and variations.

It all comes down to pattern recognition so yeah, observing and studying GM games and start implementing them in your practice games.

Also just play the opening a lot. When you come across a line you don't know, learn the response after the game. Learning from experience makes it stick more than learning from memorization, since you will have the experience of facing that line and thinking about how to respond to it.
