But none became a master by beating up beginners.

Encourage & insprire = help to become better, not let them mess with themselves.

This U1300 may lead to a new level of sandbagging.

Yeah I believe tpr is right. Will there be a <1100 category as well, and then a <900 category? I don't think beginners should have a tournament like this, and it allows more sandbagging. Better will be to encourage beginners to improve by playing against stronger players.

@heroku Right! I think all U1300 players should be purged if they aren't above that by age 7. They obviously dont have anything to add to society if they cant get there puny ratings over that puny milestone!

I think what @heroku meant is that this is not an oppertunity for high rated players to start sandbagging to enter these tournaments.
