How do I turn this off? I find it confusing and not helpful at all.
seems like no way to turn it off, just get addict to it, because it works not on all moves, only those , which are bound to same figure current move is.You may not mention it,since mention only first arrow. maybe later Lichess would make it more convinient

I want it turned off too. It sucks.
Example:

And here's the result when I followed its suggested plan vs. Stockfish's responses:

Checks out: you should never have to modify a plan based on your opponent's actual moves.

@PondSnail I agree that I should be able to turn it off. It is very confusing to me, mainly because the "next moves" that stockfish suggest only make sense if you know your opponent's next moves. Just like your example, that's a perfect example. I just see a bunch of moves that make no sense by themselves.
Another thing is that what I like about lichess is its simplicity, it isn't bloated with useless stuff that you can't just turn off. This update is an annoying exception sadly.

@scarpentus
Of course you do have to modify your plans, and that's exactly why the extra arrows are unnecessary and confusing.

I noticed this new feature yesterday and I like it!

it should show extra arrows for the opponent as well, that would make it less confusing
the feature originally had an off switch but thibault removed it before merging it, i think

Stockfish's responses are in the PV before you played Be3.

@david_dev
But when you play the first move, stockfishs response changes to ...e5.

Cloud eval issues...
I'm sure the best move for white also changes after e5
The arrows are just telling you what the engine considers the best line now, if things change later, you have to adapt.
