One thing is my rating, but also just look at my games. One move blunders everywhere. Ok I’ll admit that it happens in slower games too, but not every game like in blitz. How is it possible that I manage to blunder check way better even in 10+0, compared to 5+3? Must be something with my mentality in blitz games which can be fixed?
A blitz rating of 2050 doesn't really seem to produce much vacuum, friend.

But, to answer the question -- I'll hazard a guess that more thinking time reduces blunders.
Except in my case. Blunders are my constant companion.
For some of us, with blitz ratings below 2050, hanging pieces seems to be the result of genetic misfortune, or perhaps because of too much time between coffees.
